Close unneeded programs and try the operation again." A check of Task Manager indicates that there is plenty of free memory. Closing other open programs makes no difference. This happens sporadically, and under different circumstances: sometimes whilst saving Form design or VBA code changes, sometimes when several Forms are open and in use. If attempting to save design changes, and this error occurs, the http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1575487/ms-access-there-isnt-enough-memory-to-perform-this-operation Access objects are corrupted and can't be recovered. Any suggestions on what might be causing this would be very welcome. Recently, I keep getting the MS Access Out Of Memory error (There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded out of memory programs and try the operation again). I've researched it some, a) I don't have imbedded logo's b) I have no new temporary tables in this project (actually only 2 in total) c) I don't have a custom toolbar d) I am explicitly closing all my code-opened recordsets e) I am using DAO recordsets (not ADO) The form being developed is quite large (it has 9 different sub-forms), but I have 4 MG of memory (using Remote Server) available between me & 3 other ladies (who primarily only use Outlook). I've recently started doing daily compact/repairs, but still got the error yesterday. Can you give me some idea of memory requirements for development? My front-end is getting bigger (70 forms; 55 linked tables; 3 actual FE tables; 24 reports) - I haven't even started developing the reports for this project yet. I appreciate any help you can give me. I've lots hours of works a few times with this error because it sometimes corrupts the entire form and I have to start with the las

When i try to execute the following line of VBA code I get an "out of memory" error: Code: Form_Confirmation.txtDept = cboDept.Text Before this line of code I don't query any data or open any DAO connections, Im only checking the entered values in various text boxes and combo boxes on a form. I have also tried rebooting my computer and it still gets stuck at the same line. What i basically want to do is just move data entered into text boxes on a shipping order form i created and present that data on another form to confirm the entered data. The error occurs when i try to move data from one form to another. The database is still only 1MB with only 5 tables, each with only a few records in them just for testing. Do i need to install a service pack or download something to fix this error? chshiba View Public Profile Find More Posts by chshiba 04-11-2007, 12:00 PM #2 WayneRyan AWF VIP Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Camarillo, CA Posts: 7,064 Thanks: 4 Thanked 54 Times in 52 Posts C, The reference "cboDept.Text" is only valid in the OnChange event for cboDept. It is not a valid elsewhere. You can substitute .Value (for the .Text), but that's the default anyway. I got rid of the error but i dont know how. I copied and pasted the code and controls to a new form and now it works fine. The code and controls are exact
