How To Fix Out Of Memory Error
0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Run Time error 7: Out of Memory Im building a new database using Access runtime error 7 out of memory windows 8 2003 SP2 on windows XP SP2 with 1 GB RAM. When i try to execute the following line of VBA code I get an "out of memory" error: Code: Form_Confirmation.txtDept = cboDept.Text Before this line of https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947246 code I don't query any data or open any DAO connections, Im only checking the entered values in various text boxes and combo boxes on a form. I have also tried rebooting my computer and it still gets stuck at the same line. What i basically want to do is just move data entered into text boxes on a shipping order form i created and present that data on another form to confirm http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=126570 the entered data. The error occurs when i try to move data from one form to another. The database is still only 1MB with only 5 tables, each with only a few records in them just for testing. Do i need to install a service pack or download something to fix this error? chshiba View Public Profile Find More Posts by chshiba 04-11-2007, 12:00 PM #2 WayneRyan AWF VIP Join Date: Nov 2002 Location: Camarillo, CA Posts: 7,064 Thanks: 4 Thanked 54 Times in 52 Posts C, The reference "cboDept.Text" is only valid in the OnChange event for cboDept. It is not a valid elsewhere. You can substitute .Value (for the .Text), but that's the default anyway. My DB is approx 20mb and holds approx 100,000 lines in different tables. It started this afternoon, whenever i go in the VBA editor, i can't edit anything, because it will delete the text i just typed, and popup "Out of memory". If i try out of memory to use a OnUpdate event on a DropDown list, it will say the same error, and will do nothing. I can't even setup a break point on my code, because it will never go in the code. I tried compacting it, separating the back and front end. but nothing works, same error. This should bypass running the code and take you into your development list of queries, tables, forms, etc. See if you can start from there and set some breakpoints in your code. –Scottie Jun 13 '13 at 19:17 I can go in the code, i can setup a break point, but since access work with event... well i can't fire up any code since any event has an Out Of Memory error. Maybe my form is corrupted... –Insecurefarm Jun 13 '13 at 19:26 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted Strange e
