Microsoft Outlook Disconnected But Internet Working

I did not find it worked,,,,I do not know if I did it right or not Unchecked and Checked " Use Cashed Exchange Mode ". http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&...mp;aq=o&oq= The error message that I am receiving is Task ' Microsoft Exchange Server ' reported error (0x80040110) : ' This server is not available. Contact your Administrator if this condition persists. 'Click to expand... I tried the thread below which is same my issue that I have been experiencing http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/S...Q_23021639.html From the client PC that has this issue I can ping the server (192.168.0.50) , but I can not ping the name of the server (telserver) and I cannot use name either when I try remotely to RDP to the server and I can browse the internet. From other PCs (I tried two of the) I can ping server name and ip address of the server and I can use the server name as well when I try remotely to RDP to the server. The funny thing when I create (testing purpose) the profile for this client on a different PC (PCs that are belong to his colleagues at work) outlook works like charm Thanks Dec 10, 2009

GPalau, Have you received an answer to this problem?> I have the exact same thing happening on my network. 2 users have their Outlook 2003 disconnect sporatically. SOmetimes, simply reconnecting works, other times when I try to reconnect it asks me for their password and then connects other times I have to completely reboot. I have updated Outlook hoping that would solve the issue but it has not. Some are on XP pro SP2 some on SP1. Can anyone help? Danny 0 petesader 9 Years Ago Hi, Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am having the same problem. Thnaks. Pete 0 DaveB 9 Years Ago Hi Guys Best thing to do is to have a look in event viewer for any problems, and it should be easy to find a solution from there. You can launch event viewer through "Admin Tools" on the Start menu (if configured) or via Start > Run > Type "eventvwr.msc" Double Click on the Application Log to look for errors. it is working Offline. Strangely enough, sometimes messages still do come in. Why is this and how can I properly set it back Online and reconnect to the server again? There appears to be some recurring confusion about whether or not Outlook is in Offline Mode. This tip is about how to verify whether or not you truly are in Offline Mode and how to reconnect. When you continue to have issues connecting start with; Send/Receive errors. Work Offline icon and Status bar The main confusion is about Work Offline icon which is being displayed on the Send/Receive tab in the Ribbon in Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013; you’ll find a globe with a red cross in front of it. This doesn’t mean you are in Offline Mode as the icon is always like this. The icon doesn’t change to for instance a globe without a red cross when you are Online. If your icon looks like the right one, you are working offline. When you actually are in Offline Mode, the icon will show highlighted and your Status Bar will also show “Working Offline”. Clicking on the icon then will bring you back to Online Mode. If the button Work Offline button is not highlighted and there is no message in the Status Bar, you are not working offline. In Outlook 2007 and previous, there will be a tick mark in front of the Work Offline option in the File menu. Disconnected and connecting to server There is another instance where there is some confusion; the Status Bar shows Disconnected but “Work Offline” is not selected. The disconnected state is basically an involuntary Working Offline mode. This usually happens with IMAP and Exchange accounts when server time-outs have occurred. In that case, there will also be another icon visible on the Send/Receive tab called “Connect to Server”. When you click on this button, Outlook will attempt to reconnect again and when successful, the icon will be gone again and the “Disconnected” warning will be gone from the Status Bar. When you get disconnected, the Connect to Server icon becomes available on the Send/Receive tab. In Outlook 2007 and previous, you’ll find the Reconnect to Server option in the File menu.
