to be interference by your anti-virus program. by Leo A. Notenboom, © 2006 How do I resolve the error message "Error Number: 0x800CCC19" when sending a message in Outlook http://ask-leo.com/i_get_error_number_0x800ccc19_when_sending_email_how_do_i_fix_it.html Express in Microsoft Windows XP? • This is one of those times when Google really http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers-mail/227780-error-0x800ccc19-download-pop3.html is your friend. A search on just the error number 0x800CCC19 returns lots and lots of relevant items. And most seem to center on one particular cause. • At the top of the results list (at least when I looked) was a Microsoft Knowledgebase article: Error message when you view a POP3 e-mail account with antivirus software outlook error installed: The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server 0x8004210a. It's not a particularly helpful article, stating on that this error has been seen when some anti-virus packages are used to scan email. It then points you at the various anti-virus vendors for more information. The common thread among all the anti-virus related reports is simple: your anti-virus program is interfering with the upload, or download, windows live mail of email as it attempts to perform a virus scan on the messages being transmitted. In the configuration of your anti-virus program, turn off the "real time" or active scanning of email being sent or received - if the problem goes away, you now know the cause. "The common thread among all the anti-virus related reports is simple: your anti-virus program is interfering ... If that was the cause the next thing to do is, as the MS article indicated, check with the manufacturer of that anti-virus program for a possible fix. It could be as simple as a setting, or it could require an upgrade to a newer version of the anti-virus scanner. Or they may not have a solution, and you'll have to leave the real time scanning of email turned off, or switch to a different anti-virus solution. Whether or not to leave real-time virus scanning turned on for your email is a personal decision. If you, and everyone that uses your computer, is good at identifying suspicious email, and not opening unknown attachments, then it's quite possible you don't need it. On the other hand, if you're not sure it's a nice feature to leave enabled for that additional security. In the Google results on 0x800CCC19 there's also a

Windows 7: error 0x800ccc19 download from POP3 Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 02 May 2012 #1 unlive 7 professional 64 bit 5 posts error 0x800ccc19 download from POP3 When downloading email from POP3 server to Live Mail about 50% of the time I get the 0x800ccc19 error message after it downloads some of my messages. If I try again right away it asks me for my password and then tells me that it is wrong (which it isn't) If I wait for a few hours to ask for mail again, the same messages will be downloaded again with a few more and may or may not decide to "complete". I can go into the servers mailbox and delete the messages that are supposidly causing the problem. The frustration is that there is no rhyme nor reason to what messages Live Mail does not like to download. Sometimes I will do nothing and Live Mail WILL download everything later. I formerly had Outlook Express which worked just fine with my old XP computer. This is no longer available with Windows 7. I have tried almost everything I guess except the elusive cure. eg turned off antivirus, tried program repair, reinstalling Live Mail. I imagine this description is too long but I cannot imagine that I am the only one with this problem so I hope someone can help ... please.
