Outlook Error 0x80040111
Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I did search the community before posting, but none of the threads I found seemed to hit on this one. I have a user running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Office 2007, and Business Contact Manager. In my organization, we have Exchange 2003 Standard SP2 (runs on Server 2003 Standard 32-bit). No one else is having this issue. He has two different profiles setup in Outlook (the second was setup a few days ago to be able to send e-mails and create separate contacts and BCM contacts for a different domain e-mail). The first profile is the one he has had all along (we will call it user@domain1.com), and the second is for user@domain2.com. This morning, when he opened the profile for user@domain2.com, he got the following error every time he tried to send a message: This message could not be sent. Try sending the message again later, or contact your network administrator. Error is [0x80040111-00000000-00000000]. Here's what I tried so far: We verified that he could receive messages sent to user@domain2.com within Outlook. Only sending was affected. He was able to both send and receive messages using OWA and OMA. I knew it could only be Outlook that was the problem (oh joy). Close Outlook, delete the OST file for user@domain2.com, and then open Outlook again. At this point I closed the ticket because I thought it was resolved. He was able to send e-mails again from user@doman2.com using Outlook when I left but called 15 minutes later with the same issue. I deleted the OST file for user@domain2.com and completely removed the Outlook profile for this e-mail address. I re-created the profile and even changed the name of the OST file it would create from the standard outlook.ost to something totally different. Once I finished the profile recreation and tested, I closed the ticket again because everything was working. Then I got another call 15 minutes later that the user had the same issue AGAIN after being able to send a couple of e-mails from his user@domain2.com account. I started searching the web, and from what I found was that people had to either create a new Windows profile to fix the issue or disable Cached Exchange Mode. I have not tried either approach, but since this guy is a road warrior and not in the office all the time, I am wondering if turning off CEM will create a problem. I really don't know much about what happens if you don't use CEM. Any advice on what to do next would be much appreciated. I'd rather not have to re-create this guy's Windows profile for Outlook problems (or have to wipe the machine

She has no issue sending email using her own profile, but gets the above error when she in another profile. Another profile is an account of a domain user whose mailbox is 710MB. User is using Outlook 2007 SP2. Her Outlook had been working fine with these profiles until last week, so I doubt it's related to mailbox permission. Try this: Go to Tools and then Email Accounts Edit the existing account If you're on Exchange, click the "More Settings..." button at the buttom of the window Save changes and exit Outlook. Remove the *.ost file (you could rename it by putting .old at the end so that you don't lose it) Reopen Outlook You should now be able to send email just fine Sincerely Harry 已標示為解答 sonicfish 2011年6月16日 下午 10:15 2011年6月15日 上午 08:26 回覆 | 引述 版主 所有回覆 0 登入以投票 Hi, This could be caused by

Could be related to hardware problems (NIC card, cables), wiring, or software. Did this just start happening or could you connect to your Exchange mailbox before? If it just started, did you install or uninstall some software or hardware recently? Can you ping the server by name? Can you connect to other network resources? Is this on the local network, connected via cable, or are you accessing your Exchange server remotely? 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Message Author Comment by:pcmb2007-12-13 The workstation is connected to a SBS 2003 domain and is able to send and receive email.
