certificate I am a proud owner of a brand new Windows phone 7 (running on Samsung Omnia…)! 🙂 As soon as I did unpacked my phone I wanted to sync it with my Exchange server… I am using a self-signed certificate and first I had to install the certificate… Ok, you have two options here… You can go to https://mail.domain.com/certsrv and install a certificate directly from your certification authority or somehow put it on your phone by sending http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mobiledevices/forum/mdlumia-mdupdate/error-code-80072f06/c9b47f6d-91a3-4044-897f-363d215b083e it to your email that you can access using web browser on Windows Phone 7… Ok… To this step everything fine… But now I want to sync and I receive an error saying… There is a problem with the certificate for mail.domain.com. Contact a support person or your service provider. Error Code: 80072F06 Hmm.. I tried to open my http://luka.manojlovic.net/2010/11/19/windows-phone-7-active-sync-issue-80072f06-when-using-self-signed-certificate/ Outlook web access using web browser on my Windows Phone 7 and it worked without any problem - no certificate error warning… So I was realy confused now… My certificate is installed and I do not get any error what the hell is wrong with Active Sync now? Well… You need to "reboot" your phone and everyting will start to work 🙂 So press the power button and hold it for a few seconds until you receive a "Goodbye" on phone screen… After turning it back I tried to sync again and TADA! Everything is working now! Peace and love,Luka This entry was posted on Friday, November 19th, 2010 at 11:01 and is filed under Uncategorized. marzo 2011 di diegoranzani Problem: I'm having huge problems setting up my OWA Account on my WP7. Whenever I want to sync it shows me that there is a invalid certificate with the Error Code https://diegoranzani.wordpress.com/2011/03/04/windows-phone-7-outlook-web-access-certificate-problems-error-80072f06/ 80072F06. Solution: For all of you that are using Exchange Server with Self-Issued Certificate, http://www.smartphoneforums.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/78797-help-ssl-certificate-getting-error-80072f06.html when syncing you Windows Phone 7 with your Exchange Account, you will get the Error Message saying Attention is Required and that Certificate is not Signed. As I know, there is of course no Settings where you can see or change certificates on your Phone, so the easiest way is to install the Certificate over the Browser. outlook error Simply send your self a Certificate (.cer) per E-Mail and open it over OWA, or just put it somewhere on HTTP for download. Hold your finger for a few seconds on the Link, then open it on the Window, and you will get a screen asking you if you would like to install this Certificate. After that you will be able to Sync with our Exchange account🙂 Mi piace:Mi piace Caricamento... outlook error code Articoli collegati Questa voce è stata pubblicata in Computer e Internet, Windows Phone 7. Lately, though, I've been getting the following error message when I sync (it comes up in Activesync): "You have an incorrect SSL certificant common name in the host name field." Etc, plus error code 80072f06. I've taken this to mean I need a new SSL certificate. I've emailed my tech folks but no help so far. So I tried a few things. First, I read that if you open OWA in a browser you can export the certificate by double clicking on the lock icon in the bottom right and then going to the “Certification Path” tab. However, that tab doesn't seem to be available when I double click the lock icon (I get tabs for General, Forms, Links, Media and Security.) Maybe the interface or method has changed? Also, I've assumed that this error message meant that I didn't have the right certificate on my phone. However, I can access OWA through the browser. (I get a message re my certificate, but it lets me bypass it.) I can see several certificates through the settings, but don't know which was is correct. (Basically, I don't know much about these at all; I've been sing the phone for over a year and have never dealt with them before.) Does anyone have any idea how to deal with this? It seems that exporting a certificate from OWA is my best bet, but I've not been able to do that so far. Any better explanations much appreciated! It turns out the problem was I was using Firefox, which didn't give that option. Once I opened up OWA in Internet Explorer I was able to export the certificate fine. Unfortunately it didn't fix my problem, but at least I'm making progress... Share Share this post on Digg Del.icio.us Technorati Twi
