Was this user ported over to Outlook 2007 from a Outlook 2002 or earlier program? Those versions had a size limit on their PST files. Any that were just opened in 2007 or 2010 without recreating the pst file has a size limitation. See http://support.microsoft. com/kb/830336for some information. The default file size limit for Outlook 2007 is 20 GB but if someone has changed it that could also be your issue. Marked as answer by Jennifer Zhan Thursday, February 10, 2011 3:03 AM Tuesday, Fe

With a full install of Windows 7, Office 2010, communicator, etc we opted to place her OST on a 16gb SDHC card that won't be removed from the device. She is currently getting a "the drive that contains your data file is out of disk space" error when using Outlook, but upon checking she has 6.29g free on the HD, and 11.2g free on the SD card. Error screenshot is attached, and yes I've checked that the disks are not write protected. What are we missing? Failing that, I would say quota's would be the next place to check. 0 Cayenne OP Best Answer MPeters Apr 13, 2011 at 10:42 UTC Continued research got us somewhere: fat32, which the SDHC card is formatted in by default, limits individual file size to 4gb We will need to reformat it as NTFS and try again. I will update if this does or does not solve the issue. And in response to comments; -no quota on our server -OST is under 8gb, so nowhere near the 50gb limit - we do make our users archive sometimes :) 0 Jalapeno OP Casey Crowe Apr 13, 2011 at 10:49 UTC MPeters wrote: Continued research got us somewhere: fat32, which the SDHC card is formatted in by default, limits individual file size to 4gb We will need to reformat it as NTFS and try again. He kept every single piece of email he'd ever been sent. This was before DVDs. When he transferred to another base, he wanted them sent to his new base. It took us quite a while to figure out how to move 7.5GB of PSTs to another state. lol I think weTicket Information FIX: The drive that contains your data file is out of disk space Lisa Hendrickson | February 21, 2015 Microsoft Outlook error: the drive that contains your data file is http://callthatgirl.biz/fix-the-drive-that-contains-your-data-file-is-out-of-disk-space/ out of disk space. Just got a call about this error yesterday, as an Outlook Expert, I never know what type of Outlook call or fix is going to come my outlook error way! My Client was having issues sending an email, they got the error above. For this fix though, the hard drives were fine and not out of space. The PST files were not that large…So I did some troubleshooting and tested a new profile and it worked. Simple fix, try a new profile. Do not delete the old one! Hi, I have one user who is using Office 2007. Everything has worked fine up until now when they tried to delete an email from their inbox. When they try and do this they get the following error - "The drive that contains your data file is out of disk space. Empty the deleted items folder or create space on the drive by removing some of your files............" This is the first time this has happened. We have not added or changed anything on the exchange server or on the users machine. I have done a quick google and found some articles relating to PST files. I am sure however this issue is related to outlook 2007 limiting the size of OST files to 2GB. Can anyone offer any advice or guidance? #2 12-18-2011, 11:54 PM SpiderTech Windows 7 32bit Office 2010 32bit Expert Join Date: Jul 2010 Posts: 481 Try the steps in these articles: http://www.ehow.com/how_7439433_outl...-over-2gb.html http://www.ehow.com/way_6183919_way-...-pst-file.html « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Display Modes Linear Mode Switch to Hybrid Mode Switch to Threaded Mode Similar Threads Thread Thread Starter Forum Replies Last Post Wierd symbols inplace of "space", "indentation" etc aka.bhagvanji Word 5 02-16-2012 11:50 AM "Not enough memory or disk space" problem Hickory Word 8 11-13-2011 06:48 PM The heading doesn't "obey" the "before" space! why?
