Notenboom, © 2006 How do I resolve the error message "Error Number: 0x800CCC19" when sending a message in Outlook Express in Microsoft Windows XP? http://ask-leo.com/i_get_error_number_0x800ccc19_when_sending_email_how_do_i_fix_it.html • This is one of those times when Google really is your friend. A search on just the error number 0x800CCC19 returns lots and lots of relevant items. Whether or not to leave real-time virus scanning turned on for your email is a personal decision. If you, and everyone that uses your computer, is good at identifying suspicious email, and not opening unknown attachments, then it's quite possible you don't need it. On the other hand, if you're not sure it's a nice feature to leave enabled for that additional security. In the Google results on 0x800CCC19 there's also a report of corruption in the "pop3uidl.dbx" file. The solution presented is to exit Outlook Express, delete that file, and then restart OE.
