Select and existing file to configure, or type in the name of a new file to create. We have deleted all pst files, redone the Outlook profile, nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! May 8, 2009 Flag Post #1 Share Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] Guest You provided none of the information that is necessary. "We have 2 users" means what exactly? Are you administering their Exchange Server? If not, then what mail account types are they using and what steps did you use to create this problem? How did you create their Outlook profiles? Did you disconnect the PST files before you deleted them? Every thread that you reply to you come across so sarcastic and insolent. 011453, if you are using Exchange and the account has an PST archive setup, what has worked for us is to open up the PST in Outlook 2003 (if available), create a new PST and import the damaged one over. All rights reserved. The information service has not been configured. Select an existing file to configure, or type the name of a new file to create. – Outlook 2007 Wed, https://forums.slipstick.com/threads/3624-outlook-error-the-information-service-has-not-been-configured/ Aug 19, 2009 Problem: When launching Microsoft Outlook 2007, receiving prompt: "The information service has not been configured. Select an existing file to configure, or type the http://send4help.net/the-information-service-has-not-been-configured-select-an-existing-file-to-configure-or-type-the-name-of-a-new-file-to-create-outlook-2007-226 name of a new file to create." Resolution: Determine which Archive Folder/Personal Folder/Offline Folder on the left side Navigation Pane is linked to a .PST file that does not exist. The easiest way to do this is to collapse all of the offline folders and try to expand them one at a time. The folder causing the prompt will display an error when expanded. This folder will need to be removed by right clicking and selecting Close.
