When I converted it to VCD it still stuttered skipped. I'm trying to re-encode it with VirtualDub and thenTmpgenc. Can anyone help...please? Plain vanilla VirtualDub cannot open MPEG2 files. You can use 'VirtualDub MPEG2' by fccHandler. Share Share

If i try to open the movie in VirtualDub 1.5.2 i get this message: "Parsing interleaved MPEG file". And then close to the end of this process I get another message saying: "MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error". Here I am with no clues what to http://forum.digital-digest.com/f28/mpeg-import-filter-pack-synchronization-error-virtualdub-3261.html do. Anyone know what i can do to fix the .mpeg-movie? hula, May 15, 2003 #1 tommays Member Joined: May 10, 2003 Messages: 44 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 16 it thinks the file is corrupt i have the same problem with some files on 1.5.2 cant say why but Vidomi would open them go through the whole render processs and then nothing would http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/virtualdub-mpeg-import-filter-pack-synchronization-error.270216/ play the divx file so vdub is saveing you a lot of time i have not been able to fix any file this has happened on but it never seams to happen on anything that goes through TMPGE only files i have rendered through other programs it might take more time but it seams to allways be perfect tommays tommays, May 15, 2003 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) to save space on my hard drive , i'd like to convert it to divX but when i load it to virtual dub i found http://forum.doom9.org/archive/index.php/t-43983.html this error message , "pack synchronization error". how to fix it, i have also tried flask, it can be loaded with flask but can't convert it. Guest27th January 2003, 08:49That's usually an error you get from trying to open an MPEG2 file in VirtualDub. Search the forum for ways to open MPEG2 files and serve them into VirtualDub (hint: Avisynth). pack synchronization Belgabor27th January 2003, 15:33(hint: VirtualDubMod) :p Guest28th January 2003, 03:09Originally posted by Belgabor (hint: VirtualDubMod) :p Forum Wars! La Dima2nd February 2003, 13:45actually the file i load to virtual dub is an mpeg1 file, i convert it from vcd .dat file, when i play it there's some freezing frame so i think it's not virtual dub fault, but the file itself pack synchronization error is broken. What i need to know is how can i convert it to divx, i've tried flask but it can handle it, flask is hang up in the midle the conversion process. is there any tool for unfreezing the frame. thank you for the reply, thank's... Belgabor2nd February 2003, 21:26Since mpeg1 is a pretty forgiving format (error wise), this sounds like a really fubared stream. Unfortunately I don't know about any mpeg repair tool (perhaps you should try asking in the VCD forum about that). Does the stream play beyond the frame? If it does you might try AViSynth with DirectShowSource and some mpeg tool to demux the audio. jcsston3rd February 2003, 03:16You could try demuxing the video & audio with TMPGEnc and then muxing the video & audio back together. and then open the .mpg file ovi3rd February 2003, 22:43I have the same problem but when I tried to demux with tmpgenc ( neither demux nor simple ddemux) does work. it stops at about one third of the file. any Ideas? vBulletin v3.8.9, Copyright ©2000-2016, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
