Package Authoring Error Infinite Loop
Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2012 10:02:32 +1300 I downloaded xcode_3.2.6_and_ios_sdk_4.3.dmg from the developer website to upgrade 3.2.5. The installation failed both on an iMac with lion 10.7.3 and a macPowerBook with snow leopard 10.6.8. On the iMac I have 4.3.2 installed from the Apple dmg in the applications folder and 3.2.5 in Developer old at the root level. MultiBeast 5.2.1 doesnt ask for any settings...and succeeds! [solved ... ] OK i made some progress and got back to MultiBeast normality in part a definite numpty moment on my side! http://lists.apple.com/archives/xcode-users/2012/Mar/msg00822.html I "believe" the issue was related to using the latest UniBeast 1.5.3 with an old Install OS X Mountain Lion download (10.8.0)... I don't believe that it was a one-off bad USB key build, that created a very *weird* but seemingly functional installation of OS X as I made the USB key three times with the same results. All my install and upgrade issues went away with a new download of the Install OS X Mountain Lion I got a 10.8.2 version and all was well! Thanks for all the great work guys! [end solved ... ] --- Hi On a unibeast upgrade to ML, running Multibeast just jumps from Licence page to Installation Succeeded! This means I dont get a chance to pick my options... Installer log is as "clean" as I have seen others that still go on to ask for options... I have rebuilt kext cache, ran multibeast from lots of different places, repaired permissions etc and the only thing that varies (very rarely) is that sometimes I get the choice of install disk, but normally it just "succeeds" having asked for no input The install seems to be working fine and I can run MultiBeast for ML from my Old Lion install.
