I made the change. Does that look good ? –user25957 May 11 at 4:52 @Fran I tried that but it didn't help. May be I need to look more into the LaTeX source. –user25957 May 11 at 4:53 On Debian Jessie I solved the issue by installing the corresponding textlive-lang-[language] package. –munro Sep 10 at 15:06 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down

In this case you need to give the language so that babel knows how to work. Another way is to specify it as a global option, which can be placed as an optional argument in the document class, but since I only know this solution in in LaTeX, I can't give you an example for this. UPDATE: If I get it right, you can simply write it anywhere in the preamble like this: \language english just look up what language you need and insert it for english or ngerman share|improve this answer answered Dec 8 '15 at 10:23 Krazy Kalle 6610 Thank you K
