Panasonic Dmr Ex75 Factory Reset

A close look at the circuit board revealed a swollen C1530 (a 100uF, 25V electrolytic capacitor) which gave me a clue about the area involved. panasonic dvd recorder u80 error message A look at the schematic in page 48 the service manual (I got this from ftp://wolf170571.dyndns.org/C%EF%F0...Panasonic/Panasonic_DMR-EX75EG,EX85EG_dvd.pdf) gave me a clue that the IC1508 voltage converter may be the culprit. IC1508 converts the 12v rail voltage to 1.8V. The 1.8V output should be present on Pin 7 of connector P7413. It wasn't - only about 0.1V was present. 3.3V on pin 8 and 11.6V on pin 10 were present though, which told me that the 12V supply rail shared by all the voltage converters/regulators was OK. I therefore decided to replace IC1508 and the swollen C1530. It also seemed a good idea to change C1533, which causes the 'no Freeview' fault. Of course, it may be possible that the U81 error is caused by something else, so if you have the problem it's worth checking the voltages on connector P7413. The following pictures show where the connector is. Had I thought more about it, I could have got them from the supplier of IC1508. IC1508 is an MD5001T voltage converter/regulator. It can be obtained fro

What Does Panasonic Error Code U81 Mean
Member Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 4 DMR-EX75 Error: U81 Hi All, Does anyone know what ther error code U81 means and panasonic dmr-ez47v error code u81 how to fix it? I came back from holiday the other day to find my machine displaying U81 and having not recorded a single item that I had set it for! Panasonic tech support just gave me the usual https://www.avforums.com/threads/panasonic-dmr-ex75-85-u81-error-repaired-solved.1486954/ response - but I don't really want to send it away if its something simple. Why won't they just say what the error code actually means? Thanks in advance! The U80 or U81 that has been displayed is a self-diagnostic fault code, this would require the attentions of a panasonic dmr Panasonic approved service repair agent. It also can indicate a weak signal. This is not an inherent fault with the product but a guide for the engineer to know where, within the product, he should seek the cause of the problem. With either of these error messages the aerial may need an adjustment or possible upgrade. During the EPG download, if there is noise on the data lines due to poor signal, the unit can go into U80 or U81. Back to results panasonic dmr ex75 Was this answer helpful?
