After the 000000's finish cycling when I plug it in, it gives a F60 error code and won't do anything else. No power light, no fan noise, etc. I have tried the panasonic dmr es40v master reset reset options in the user manual, to no avail. Googling the issue seems to point to a video issue, but no one can tell me specifically what. If anyone can help me isolate the problem, I will appreciate it. Thanks. Panasonic Dmr-es40v Video Processing Board
Filter by: Most Helpful Newest Oldest Most Helpful Answer oldturkey03 @oldturkey03 Rep: 368.7k OTS 587 265 1k Posted: 10/08/2014 Options Permalink History Ron, F60 is a general error code usually related to a failure on the video processing board. You could fix this by just replacing that board. Try to place it in standby mode first by unplugging it, wait a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. When the 000000's starts, hold down the power button for 15-20seconds. The unit should then be in standby mode. From this mode try to start it normally using the power button and see if it cleared the error. You could also try a complete reset by powering the unit off and press and hold the "Stop" and "Channel Up" buttons at the same time for a few seconds while powering the unit up. Hope this helps, good luck. Upgrade The board in question is listed as the Digital PCB and it is the small board with the onboard HDMI port Was this answer helpful? Yes No Voted Undo Score 3 Cancel Comments: Thanks for the reply. I have tried the "reset" options and nothing helps. It won't go into Standby and the Stop/Channel Up makes no difference. I do understand the F60 error is generally related to the video processing board, but I have found no reference to which board that is in the DMR-ES40V unit. There are two large PCBs and two small ones. ??? 10

Contributor 9 Answers Re: F60 ERROR CODE ON PANASONIC DMR-ES40V Unplug the unit for 24-hours. I know, it should not take that long, but in this case I tried shorter periods WITHOUT success! Just before plugging in unit depress and hold POWER button. You are supposed to hold it for 30-seconds after plugging in, but in my case I did it for 60-seconds. This results in a MASTER RESET that clears all errors, resets interlocks, etc. I could not get past a DVD failure problem, but when I discovered this process everything worked fine!! Good luck! Hope it works for you too. There is a trick you can try to reset it: unplug the unit, wait a few minutes, then plugged it back in. When the ooooo display starts hold down the power button for at least 10 seconds. This puts the unit in standby mode. From standby mode you should be able to start it normally using the power button. If that doesn't work the board will have to be replaced. You can recognize this board as the small board with the onboard HDMI port in the DMR-EZ47V model, and has the mini cables connecting to it. It floats above the rest of the boards in the middle back of the machine. You can order the part from: http://www.pasc.panasonic.com/ Good Luck Source(s): Ray · 7 years ago 2 T
