Parser Returned Error 0xc00ce556
.NET Platform Architecture Development Discussions Question 0 Sign in to vote Hello All, I have recently bought a new PC and upgraded the software from Windows Vista to Windows 7. Since the upgrade, the following dialogue has been popping up: Error Parsing C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework64\v2.0.50727\config\machine.config Parser Returned Error 0xC00CE556 This dialogue pops up right after log in for several parser error 0xc00ce556 windows 7 different programs such as SmartMenu.exe, CCC.exe, and MOM.exe. I am assuming this is related to a problem that occurs when I try to boot event viewer and the following error pops up: MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. Name: Event Viewer CLSID: FX:{b05566ad-fe9c-4363-be05-7a4cbb7cb510}. I have tried to remedy this situation by reinstalling .NET, by using the dotnetfx_cleanup_tool, and then by installing .NET 4. I have tried almost everything short of manually uninstalling and reinstalling. What can I do to fix this problem?
