I have already shared the solutions of error 492 and error 498 of android. Now I’ll discuss about parse error and its solution.Parse Error:Android lovers love android for its huge collection of apps. But Sometimes we can’t install app on our smartphone, tab etc. It is because of some errors. Parse Error is one of them. While installing an app, it may be displayed There is a Problem Parsing the Package. It is a common error of android.Reasons Behind Problem Parsing the Package:These are the some reasons behind this error - Your Downloaded apk file may be corrupted.Installation of apps from unknown source may be disabled in your phone.The app is not compatible with your smartphone, Tab or version of OS.There might be an internal error on your smartphone or Tab.There is a Problem Parsing the Package may appear after upgrading your android version.How To Fix Parse Error:Now it’s time to know the solution of this android error. Let’s know how to fix parse error.1. Allow Installation from Unknown Sources:Sometimes android doesn't allow any installation of apps from unknown sources and shows ‘There is a Problem Parsing the Package’. I mean Parse Error. So allow installation from unknown sources. To do it go to Setting > Security and Check Unknown Sources. Then restart your phone. May be it will fix parse error on your android device.2. Inspect The APK File:If 1st step doesn't work, then try to inspect the downloaded apk file to fix parse error. Check if it’s fully downloaded or corrupted. If you have downloaded it from out of Google play store, try to download it again from play store and try again. If it’s not available in Google play store, try to have a fresh apk file that is not corrupted and try to install it again. Member This Topic's Starter Joined: Nov 3, 2009 Messages: 4 Likes Received: 3 Good afternoon guys and gals, I just recently received my HTC Tattoo from Orange which i was very excited about due to all the hype over android etc.... since having it and trying to install certain apps i'm getting the error: Parse Error: There is a problem parsing the package This is with every apk file i try to install. I know about certain apps and stuff not work, but should i get this with every install? Even with the files from the big list in the forum that are supposed to work, they still give the same error message. Am i doing something horribly wrong (probably). i'm probably not installing some program that helps it along https://www.xtremerain.com/fix-parse-error-android/ or something......HELP ME CHAPS!!! I done this same with ANDexplorer aswell and still getting this 'parse error'! I did try sending them via email myself and always got the same error but using HTC sync for Andexplorer worked a treat (not all progs do so i now always install from the SD card). Hovsep A May 9, 2014 at 4:52 pm did you Unknown sources – Check mark Unknown Sources (on your android settings?) parsing package error can be because incompatibility with your android hardware system...now for your question it can be a fix but perhaps not on every case., the thing is you are not downloading from google play. Drsunil V May 19, 2014 at 1:06 pm thanks. yes , the unknown source ( non play store sources ) download option has been set by checking the concerned check-box. i guess that bec play store is installed custom process and was orignally available on device. that may have something to do with errors like 'unable to parse app' even from non play
