firewall error hypoxic18 Jan 2005, 07:40After doing the upgrade to the current 375/374 version I got an error after rebooting. I uninstalled OP and did a clean install but still am getting the error. I don't have the pc-cillin firewall installed and can't find tmfilter service in services either running or not running. What do I do? Here is the message and at the bottom is what I see in the window after clicking "details": Attention! You have the following firewalls installed: PC-Cillin (Trend Micro) We strongly recommend that you uninstall all firewalls before installing Outpost Firewall. Please note: If you disable your firewall from booting up at startup or simply shutdown the firewall, it does not remove the drivers and services that most personal firewalls leave in memory. You will most likely have the following problems if you decide to run more then one firewall on your computer: - Blue screen fatal errors, system freezing or sudden system reboots. - All access will be allowed for every application. Nothing will be blocked. - Every application will be blocked and you will be unable to connect to any web site. - Your computer system will be unable to boot up. - Every other error imaginable! Please click on the Details button to see what particular services or drivers from other firewall software vendors are currently running on your system. Instructions on how to to uninstall/re-install Outpost can be found here (outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7173). You should remove previous firewalls before installing Outpost as you now know. Hope this helps. hypoxic18 Jan 2005, 10:21I only have the pc-cillin antivirus installed. Before the upgrade to Outpost I had Outpost in stalled, pc-cillin antivirus (without the firewall). I accepted the upgrade to Outpost and got the error when I rebooted. I checked the services that were running and can't find tmfilter in the list. I uninstalled Outpost as you linked, (already knew about that link from the last upgrade), re-installed Outpost from the new download (newest version) whereby doing a clean install of the new version. Upon reboot I g
