for series Bug Description Note: Current workaround is to add pci=noaer to your kernel command line: 1) edit /etc/default/grub and and add pci=noaer to the line starting with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT. It will look like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pci=noaer" 2) run "sudo update-grub" 3) reboot ---- My dmesg gets completely spammed with the following messages appearing over and over again. It stops after one s3 cycle; it only happens after reboot. The problem I'll describe also happened with the previous driver and kernel. When I boot up, I immediately see error messages like this: [ 20.681038] pcieport 0000:00:01.1: AER: Multiple Corrected error received: id=0009 [ 20.681051] pcieport 0000:00:01.1: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Physical Layer, id=0009(Receiver ID) [ 20.681053] pcieport 0000:00:01.1: device [8086:2f03] error status/mask=00000001/00002000 [ 20.681055] pcieport 0000:00:01.1: [ 0] Receiver Error (First) [ 20.803313] pcieport 0000:00:02.0: AER: Corrected error received: id=0010 [ 20.803321] pcieport 0000:00:02.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Data Link Layer, id=0010(Receiver ID) [ 20.803322] pcieport 0000:00:02.0: device [8086:2f04] error status/mask=00000080/00002000 [ 20.803324] pcieport 0000:00:02.0: [ 7] Bad DLLP Based on various google searches, there seems to be some suggestions that this is an issue related to the nvidia driver and my GTX 980 (EVGA GTX980 SC ACX 2.0). I hope someone can help me. I just got a new desktop (Asus M32), and installed Ubuntu MATE 14.04 on it. Every time I have logged out or shut down, it prints the error messages below that I got through grep. I do have my drive encrypted and home encrypted, and I happen to also be experiencing an as-yet unsolved audio problem. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
