All Replies Posted by JElzenaar on 29 Dec 2010 7:50 Hi Ray, pcie training error embedded nic 2 We had this problem on the R200. We removed the empty riser card and the server booted normal. This was a production error in the motherboards for the R200 so i don't know what's the case for your 1950, but you can try to remove the empty riser, it could work. But some servers need to have the empty riser in the server otherwise they won't boot either so you should test this. We had also tried several power downs, restarts, and removing the newer drive. share|improve this answer answered Sep 11 '11 at 10:19 Scott Szretter 95583255 Any reason why you did not call Dell? –Nils Sep 22 '11 at 21:01 Not in warranty, I was told they will not talk to us if not in warranty? –Scott Szretter Sep 24 '11 at 12:59 That`s a reason, indeed. Perhaps you could mention that next time. –Nils Sep 24 '11 at 19:55 I would add to this that Dell had me TOTALLY take the RAID card out of the box, restart it without the card, shut dow
X (or Embedded I/O Bridge device X) System Halted Try removing any add-in card and boot the server. If the server is booting correctly, then it's probably the http://www.itechlounge.net/2011/12/dell-servers-pcie-training-error/ add-in card! If the problem persist, try to completely remove the riser card. Now it should work. In such case, the riser card and the motherboard as well may be damaged. Be Sociable, Share!
