said "PCL Error Press Set". I have no idea what this means. The printer then froze the system. The printer manual gave no Error Messages or Troubleshooting information. I went to the Dell Support website and looked for information about this and could find no reference to this particular problem. Also, why is there no PostScript driver for this printer? Posted by oncall247 on 4 Mar 2005 5:54 PCL errors are usually numbered -1 through 68. Press set is just saying hit the set button. Try changing the print driver to black/white and check if it works then, to narrow down the problem. Also, try printing the document from a different program. Other than that, you need to find an error number or description for proper diagnosis. I finally called tech support and we got it working (Word 2003 docs were my source). Then, a few days later, the problem returned. This will force it to use the postscript driver.
