Error code 0x80070002 My http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_store/error-0x8007000b-in-windows-8/1c663b54-83e7-44b6-9011-61aa464d6045 OS is Win7 Pro 32bit with SP1 and all updates installed. Whenever I try to open Windows Live Photo Gallery I am told: Windows Live Photo Gallery encountered an error and cannot start. Error code 0x80070002. I have the latest version of WLPG. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program and the repair option, and a Microsoft Fixit which says it succeeded, but the problem persists. The strange thing is that http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/microsoft-web-services/32954-windows-live-photo-gallery-encountered-error-cannot-start-error-code-0x80070002.html if I open My Pictures then open a folder and select a picture it opens in WLPG,but if I then click on Edit the program crashes. If anyone can tell me how to fix this problem I would be grateful. Thanks and regards,Roy Reply With Quote 21st July 2011,23:14 #2 Capt.Jack Moderator Join Date Sep 2010 Posts 296 Hello there! The error code is 0x80004005 photo gallery encountered an error and cannot start 0x80004005 Which got no hits whatsoever on Google, Google even said "showing results for 0x80070057"
and if you’re Windows 10 user, you are probably using Windows Live Photo Gallery to view your pictures. However, there are reports saying that Windows Live Photo Gallery isn’t working in Windows 10, so let’s see if we can fix that. Users have reported that Windows Live Photo Gallery fails to start and they are greeted with "Photo Gallery encountered an error loading WLXPhotoLibraryMain.dll and can't start. Error code 0x8007007e" message. According to the reports, it seems that Windows Live Photo Gallery is using MF.dll and MFplat.dll files, and if these files are missing from your computer then you probably won’t be able to start this application. As for these two files, they are also used by Media Player, and if you don’t have Media Player installed, then you are probably missing these two files as well. You might not know, but there is N version of Windows 10 that doesn’t come with Media Player, and you might have accidentally install that version, but don’t worry, there’s no need to reinstall anything. Solution 1 - Download Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 We recommend this tool to update all your drivers automatically Downloading drivers manually can be a long and tedious process. Outdated drivers can often cause crashes, file loss and even permanent damage to your computer. DriverAgent Plus quickly and automatically downloads all the drivers that you need: Download DriverAgent Plus (100% safe download and endorsed by us). Once the download is complete start the DriverAgent Plus. Click the Start Scan button and let DriverAgent Plus download all the necessary drivers. Go to the Microsoft’s website and search for Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 10. Download the file and install it, and it should install all the files that you need for Media Player, and in our case for Windows Live Photo Gallery. After the installation is complete you Windows Live Photo Gallery should work normally. Solution 2 - Downl
