Be sure to have enough free space on your hard drive and also try to uninstall unwanted/unused programs. Restart your computer, photoshop cs2 start only Photoshop, create a new blank document, new layer and then try opening the blending options. If it works it means your computer can't handle the document you are working on. If it still doesn't work it is not because of low memory, be it RAM or disk space. You can try to change the performance settings inside photoshop buy don't know if it will do much good. 2. Re-install Photoshop. If photoshop cs2 could it still gives you problems it is because of your slow computer. Try downgrading it to an older version. Adobe lets you download and use CS2 free from their site, so install that one. You shouldn't have a problem and will be able to finish in time for your deadline. After that, probably buy a new computer or keep using CS2. If it does then its something about the user profile giving it fits. If not then the program must be corrupt or there is something system-wide that interfers with that function.
