Activation server shut down for Creative Suite 2, Acrobat 7, and Macromedia products Jeff A Wright Jun 10, 2013 8:59 AM Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago adobe cs2 free download full version and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers. If your software is affected by the activation server shut down then you will receive an error that the Activation server is unavailable. A little 'old-style' certainly (I use CS5 and CS6 at work), but it does all that I need. Only problem with it is, though, that every time I run it up, I get http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/registration-nag-screen-for-photoshop-cs2.195135/ the registration 'nag' screen, despite having gone through the process at least twice, and also checked that it appears as a registered product in my Adobe account. Can anyone tell me how to disable the 'nag' screen? It only requires another clock of the mouse on startup to stop it, but it's irritating! Aug 8, 2013 #1 Erik TechSpot Staff Posts: 304 +18 Did you try entering the serial? http://www.techspot.com/downloads/3689-adobe-photoshop-cs2.html Aug 9, 2013 #2 SamRick TS Rookie Topic Starter Oh, yes. I have verified that CS2 is registered on my Adobe account, so you would think that the loop would be closed and stop prompting for registration. Just one more point has occurred to me, though. I prefer to go looking for product information when I want to, rather than be pestered by promotional emails, so I usually decline invitations to accept them, as I did here (I did not check "Yes! I would like Adobe to send me...blah-blah"). Maybe to get Adobe off my back I need to swallow the bitter pill, then unsubscribe later. Maybe that would work? I will try it. T
"Activation server unavailable: Activation was unsuccessful" Me Too Un-Me Too 36 Follow Unfollow 4 Problem Updated 8 months ago Solved (Edited) Me Too Un-Me Too 36 Follow Unfollow 4 https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/activation_down_for_over_a_week I've an old CS1 package installed at my iMac's Boot Camp volume (with Windows XP). For years Photoshop CS1 has asked me for reactivation every single time I boot OS X and then Boot Camp again; it makes no sense but I've gotten used to it. But now it just says 'The activation system is not available at this time'... this has photoshop cs2 been going on for over a week now, and the software just doesn't run. Yes, I've also tried phone activation, but it just stops, telling me 'the activation number is too short' -- even if I haven't pressed the end "#" key at all! In other words, it won't let me fill in the full activation number in the first place, but cs2 activation code it still says the number is too short. This is not how this should work. Right? It appears there is a workaround. They didn't post CS1, but the CS2 version should work for you from this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po... As an owner of CS1 or CS2, you can uninstall the current version if CS1/CS2 you have and download and install a new version that doesn't require server activation along with a new serial #. Directions and downloads here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/po... Note: Adobe does not support CS2 applications, which were released more than seven years ago. Adobe strongly
