I'm using CS3 on a pentium laptop using osx 10.4.11 after this error occurs, the computer freezes up and i have to force restart. Assuming that it is possible, it would be an unsupported configuration, meaning you're on your own. Running Photoshop under an unsupported configuration sounds like a recipe for pain, to me.
