I need a piece of advice/solution for a problem. I installed PICO2000 / pico 2000 download DVR2000 software into my PC and also managed to install the drivers for the DVR 8-Channel DiGiNet Card, which came along with the PICO2000 / DVR2000 software. When I run the application, I get the following error: ==> The

security key is not found. If the problem persists, please contact your dealer. and followed by ... ===> Can not start DSR application. Where did I went wrong? Did I missed any steps during installation? Or am I using the wrong software? I'm blur. Please help ... Also, can someone please suggest a FREE software to use with the PC-Based system I have? The Card I have with me is a 8-Channel DIGINET card. Please help. Regards,

Below info may be of help: (Note in some cases going into SAFE mode may required, or tried...) This site helped me sort out a Video Capture driver for a no-name card: http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/custom.html The site focusing on Bt848, Bt849, Bt878 and Bt879 based video capture boards * * * * * * Solution #1 "security key not found" . First try this solution Question I can not load PICO 2000. It says "security key not found" . if problem persists contact the dealer " I'm using Windows XP Pro . it also gives me a error cannot load DSR application ..likely all one in the same ?? Answer PICO 2000 need not require a password. In order to correct this situation, we need to COMPLETELY uninstall PICO from the add/remove programs in Control Panel. Then reboot.... Then install the software PICO 2000 again from the CD ( \Setup.exe) Choose PICO2000-104 (You should choose NTSC - PAL is a European standard) Restart computer-----Run English pack from the CD to change tio the English version (this takes away the question marks...this program is found in the PICO directo

You are using the wrong software. no need to uninstall the preivious software. just reinstall the setup file and when prompted to select an option between the versions select pico 416 version. dont foget to restart. it is amust. Contributor 1 Answer Re: I installed PICO2000 / DVR2000 software into my PC... I have the same problem as above. No pirated CD, bought it together with the camera from a store. In the manual it says what to do but I cannot change the "Option Key". It's default "450" and I tried changeing it to 416 like the 8th wonder ( very cool nick ;-) ) says. I downloaded a "Trail-version" from the stores site and that works perfect ( except for the big blue "Trail"stroke right across the middle of the screen ;-) ) Anybody any ideas ? bought one of those cheapy Chinese 4 port video capture cards and the bundled software that came with it looks like it is a ripoff copy of Pico 2000, http://www.techiehq.net/threads/pico-2000-software-and-cheapy-capture-card.18184/ which simply doesn't work. What's happened to date... First installation went ok, but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nkUMhqjzG0 the Pico software complained 'security key not found', which I take to mean that the original card made by Pico had an eeprom with an individual key on it, without which the pirated software won't function. Fine; I uninstalled the Pico software and tried a bt universal driver which identified the chip as being a pico 2000 bt878, but this is hampered by the original Pico software not uninstalling cleanly and as soon as I try to uninstall the Imavision audio driver, the system bluescreens. If I try to re-install Pico drivers, all I get is the video driver and the multimedia controller complaining about 'lack of resources' - the memory addresses being used by them clash with each other by the look of it. error pico2000 security I've installed Active WebCam on top of the bt wdm driver [1] and AWC detects there are four inputs but that's all - no pic on any of them no matter what settings. Still a driver issue. Anybody had any experience of making this card work with any other drivers or software?
