By fcui21 · 9 years ago I'm getting an error when attempting to print or add a printer. The error I am receiving states "Could not start the Print Spooler service on local computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start". I have an HP all in one printer and my operating system is Windows XP. Any insight on how to resolve this problem would be appreciated! The easiest way to find out is to run the services.msc management console and find 'World Wide Web Publishing Service' , right click and get to the properties window and select the dependencies tab. Make sure all these dependencies are started. You might also want to look at event viewer to get more information on why any of the individual services failed to start.
