I have a Cannon MP470. The printer stopped working. It is not In Control Panel - Printers. When I try to add the printer I get the message "Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine." Trying to ADD a printer I get error I can't reinstall the OS as the system controls a medical machine and the installed application is not easily recovered. System Restore is not enabled either!
