If Epson are refusing to repair the unit because you have repeatedly used non genuine ink then you can try and take them to task on the legality of that decision (depending upon consumer law in your area) but the chances of you getting it sorted without costing a fortune are slim to none. There is an error which shows up in the status monitor as MAINTENANCE error and this can fixed relatively easily. It's symptoms are similar. However, a fatal error is generally just that - Fatal - and there is nothing the home user can do as this generally requires parts fitting.Your non genuine ink is almost certainly NOT to blame for the fatal error though. At worst the **** ink you use will clog nozzles and may even ruin the print head by clogging all the nozzles and causing only blank pages to be produced. BUT can you prove this to Epson in court? My advice - bin the printer and replace it with one from a manufacturer who appears to give a damn about their products and customers as much as their fat pockets!! a 3rd party cartridge). Then it stopped printing Magenta. The next day all the other cartrides were very low, so I replaced those as well. Now no ink comes out at all when I print - not even a tiny bit. The paper feeds through properly and http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/28050 it sounds as if it is printing just fine, but the pages come out blank. I've already run several head cleanings, a couple head alignments and tried reseating the ink cartridges and "recharging them" again. I've also tried putting some of the old cartridges back in (within an hour of taking them out) and no ink comes out at all with these in either. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver. I even called Epson support and they say it probably needs to be serviced (which printer error is probably true). But is there anything else I can do? Maybe the print heads are clogged and need to be cleaned. How do I do that? Maybe it is something else. I need HELP! Thank you so much!-Rachel - unknown The link was right on the money! Pain in the arse to do, but worth it not to have to go out and buy a new printer. Thanks a million! - unknown I have the same problem described by R. Logsdon but can't get access to the inkjetprinterhelp site you recommended (not found). The cached versions online of the duraink.html page are not very useful (no pictures and no aux links). Is there another way I can access the repair info? Thanks. - unknown I recently had a problem where my epson quit printing after replacing the ink cartridges. I called Epson support and they had me re-try cleaning the print heads. Which did not cure the problem. The tech felt it was a hardware problem. They then gave me 3 options. 1 - Send the printer back and thy will fix it for free. (14 day turnaround once they receive the printer) The second was a discount coupon. The 3rd was a new Epson CX6600 for @50.00 off their retail plus an additional 50.00 rebate. Since I needed a printer I took the 3rd option. (still waiting for
