this so I must assume that a sensor has gone faulty.I can get sensor PS107 and PS101 from HP parts but not PS102, http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/28628 PS103, PS108 which are all listed in the service manual. HP insist I buy the full assembly (registration, fuser or input) which I just cannot afford. Are the optical sensors the same https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/421829-hp-laserjet-cp3525-printer-13-20-00-error part essentially? Can one be interchanged with another. Would I get away with replacing the faulty optical sensor with one of the above available parts.Other than my speculation, does anybody have a printer error solution to the 13.20.00 problem that worked for them?I'd be very much obliged.RegardsJonjust read this back...Apologies for the terse tone - I'm actually shivering with fear here because I've a dissertation to print and hand in very soon now and no way to print it. Help. Respond to this 1 I have seen quite a few lately on the 4200, 4250, 4300 and 4350 printer error 13.20.00 where the sensor flag on the feed assembly behind tray 1 gets stuck in the down position. The heavy stock or folder trick will usually release it and it does not seem to get stuck again. As has been said many times, simple first. by dmzcompute on May 11, 2006 at 12:56pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I too have this issue, and feel like we can probably solve it, but I don't have the manual to take it part. Can someone link it to me?JD by Tristan23x on Jul 21, 2006 at 5:54am Add comment Please sign in to comment 1 I followed through with the suggestion that a sensor flag at the registration rollers was jammed/stuck. After reading the postings and removing the registration assembly, because that seemed pretty easy to me, I found the paper sensor "stuck" somehow, in the wide-open position. It took a little force to flick it unstuck, and realized I had just resolved the problem from reading postings on fixyourownprinter.com postings! Thanks guys. RPLines-Memphis-TN. I have checked all paper feed areas, replaced the user and transfer belt and blasted every censor that I am aware of with compressed air to no effect. If I bring up the censor diagnostic screen the following information is displayed. Stringham Dec 17, 2013 at 4:25 UTC Looks like others have had this issue. Found this: I have recently been confronted with exactly this issue. The printer consistently reports an error 13.20 when there is no paper present. Thinking it had to be a sensor problem I ordered and installed a new paper pickup assembly but the same error still ocurred. After a lot a head scratching and sensor testing I found the source of the problem. The top of page sensor was falsely reporting not because of any paper present but because when it is in the closed position (no paper and reading zero) any slight pressure to close it even further causes it to report a "1". The reason is that the plastic tab interuupting the light beam has swung out of the beam on the "other" side just enough to cause the "1' reading. The solution was to loosen up slightly on the left rear screw holding the pickup assembly to the bottom housing. After doing this the printer worked normally for several cycles. The real solution of course is a more robust design of the sensor arm that
