Printer Error 53.10
troubleshoot and knows that code means the Memory in the third DIMM slot has failed the RAM test.I changed the memory and also replaced the Formatter board. Memory passed the ram test but the printer is still not working. Someone help me plz. Respond to this 0 Does "is still not working" mean that you are still getting the same 53 error code? Only 2 things that can cause the error are the memory and the formatter.I think you read the troubleshooting wrong. Here's what my book says.53.xy.zzx=RAMy=internal memoryzz=Failed RAM test by moe on Feb 27, 2007 at 5:06pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Moe is 100\% correct. The RAM memory built into the formatter board failed the test. by dmzcompute on Feb 27, 2007 at 6:51pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I have the same 53.10.03 error which only appeared after I tried to add memory. The same error remains after removing the known-good extra memory.Did I damage a good formatter board in the the process of snapping in the new memory, and perhaps pressing too hard?Would you confirm that the "internal memory" is in the formatter board, not in the ROM? by unknown on Mar 18, 2009 at 9:49am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 give it a couple taps on the left side of the machine. Pulled the formatter, lined up the mounting pins correctly and the formatter seated all the way in and booted. by davidrlewis on Feb 26, 2016 at 3:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP LaserJet 4100 Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc. It's very possible that the printers internal memory could have been damaged during the power outage.TechGuy : You can try this http://www.justanswer.com/printers/5hhcz-hp-2300-printer-getting-53-10-03-error.html first.TechGuy : Turn off the printerPress and hold [IMAGE][SRC][/SRC][ALT][/ALT][WIDTH]100[/WIDTH][HEIGHT]100[/HEIGHT][STYLE][/STYLE][/IMAGE] (Select), and turn on the printer. When all three status lights are lit, release [IMAGE][SRC][/SRC][ALT][/ALT][WIDTH]100[/WIDTH][HEIGHT]100[/HEIGHT][STYLE][/STYLE][/IMAGE] (Select).Use [IMAGE][SRC][/SRC][ALT][/ALT][WIDTH]100[/WIDTH][HEIGHT]100[/HEIGHT][STYLE][/STYLE][/IMAGE] (Up arrow) or [IMAGE][SRC][/SRC][ALT][/ALT][WIDTH]100[/WIDTH][HEIGHT]100[/HEIGHT][STYLE][/STYLE][/IMAGE] (Down arrow) to scroll to COLD RESET , and press [IMAGE][SRC][/SRC][ALT][/ALT][WIDTH]100[/WIDTH][HEIGHT]100[/HEIGHT][STYLE][/STYLE][/IMAGE] (Select).TechGuy : SorryTechGuy : 1.Turn off the printer2.Press and hold (Select), and turn on the printer. 3.When all three status lights are lit, release (Select).4.Use (Up arrow) or (Down arrow) to scroll to COLD RESET , and press (Select)TechGuy : If that does not correct the problem either the formatter board or printer will need to be replaced. What needs to be replaced and where is it? You may have to replace the formatter. I'm assuming power cycling didn't fix it. You could pull the Jet Direct and try a COLD reset and a NVRAM reset.
