Files ... Cancel Answered Projectwise / Moving stored files on closed Caching Servers Hi, We have a setup with one Projectwise Intergration server and two chaching servers. We no longer need the Caching servers and have shut down the Bentleyservice on them both. Now we have an issue http://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/f/342986/t/94249 when opening some of the files on Project Wise with error 55501 "failed to connect to remote server". What is the procedure for moving the files from the two caching serversto the intergration server, so that I no longer get http://pcrepairpro16.com/projectwise-error-55501.php this error in PW explorer? I have access to the store location on the two caching servers with all the dmsxxxx folders. The Path nameson all tree servers are the same except for the final folder name with all thedmsxxxxx folders projectwise error er different. Should I: 1. Shut down the intergration service 2. Copy all the dmsxxxxx folders from the two caching servers to the intergration server folder with the dmsxxxxx folders 3. Enter Projectwise Administration module and locate the "Storage areas" 4. Select properties 5. Change the Location (Computername or IP address to the same of the Intergration server and change the Path to the path of the intergration server 6. Start the Intergration server again 7. Enter PW projectwise error 55501 explorer and everything should work? The above will result that I still have the old caching storage names in PW Admin. Can I Delete them or will this give me issues in PW Explorer? Best regards. As mentioned in the above reply. DMSxxxx folders from storage's should not be altered. In this case the folders from one caching server storage area was copied over to the server and then the content of that folder was copied in to the storage area on that Integration server. Due to that the DMSXXXX folders were not aligned and errored with Error Information ------------------------------------------------------------ Last Error [ 55037 ] ------------------------------------------------------------ Error checking out a file of document '3D Seed file V8i (mm/mm)'. File not found on server. Once we copied out the content back into the caching server folder structure on the integration server and ProjectWise Administrator storage area was updated with the two Storage area paths. User was able to copy out, download, check out files just fine. Answer Verified By: Kim Pedersen Cancel
