I too have had this issue, and I contacted Sony regarding the problem. What I was told was that it is a maintenance thing, and that you should attempt connecting http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/error-code-80710d36-28488082/ to the store again within 4 to 5 hours of when you saw the error message for the first time. I do not know personally if this is the case, but it is what Sony told me, so I am taking it as fact. Hope it works, everyone have a good day. I'm crossing my fingers. My suggestion for you would be to check when you get up next morning. Try every 5 minutes and eventually it will let you sign in.
