An Error Has Occurred During Report Processing. (rsprocessingaborted)
in to vote I'm trying to create different linked versions of query execution failed for dataset incorrect syntax near ' ' the Backlog Overview Report for each of my scrum teams. Each team's work is in a query execution failed for dataset 'dsiteration'. (rserrorexecutingcommand) different area path. The report runs correctly (mostly), when these parameters are selected in the UI. However, I was to make severallinked versions that run on a https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976701 schedule. I've taken the following steps: ======================================= 1. Open the Reports UI in Web Access 2. Select the Backlog Overview Report and select 'Create Linked Report...' 3. Enter a name and click Apply 4. Click on the linked report created in the previous step 5. Switch to the Parameters tab 6. Enter 'Work https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/5be4abf4-06b4-4a8c-8060-09f43fff97fc/create-linked-report-with-backlog-overview-in-ssrs?forum=tfsreporting Items\2014 Releases\2014_R9' (or other valid iteration value)in the 'IterationParam'default field 7. Enter 'Work Items\Backlogs - Active\Global\Team-5' (or other valid area path value) in the 'AreaParam' default field 8. Uncheck 'Prompt User' for both options 9. Return to the report screen and run the report Observed behavior: Error: The 'IterationParam' parameter is missing a value Expected behavior: The report runs with the entered Parameter values Edited by formeroosid Wednesday, October 08, 2014 11:10 PM Edited by Vinod RamakrishnaMicrosoft contingent staff Thursday, October 09, 2014 3:43 PM Layout mismatch error Wednesday, October 08, 2014 11:01 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi Formeroosid, Thanks for your post. We cannot use the iteration path or area path string in TFS report parameters directly, we need to get the iteration and area path parameters from TFS cube, please refer to the answer reply in this similar post: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/49d9b23f-87bf-4cfc-8c5f-a70edbcfdc11/cant-pass-a-value-via-a-url-or-setup-a-default-value-for-the-area-parameter-in-the-burndown?forum=tfsreporting. And you can refer to the example in this article: http://s

To get the value I follow this instruction (http://salvoz.com/blog/2010/05/04/tfs-2010-default-iteration-and-area-for-burn-down-report/), which includes getting the value with Sql Management Studio connected to the Analysis Service on the tfs data tier. This is becoming increasingly query execution failed difficult since the number of projects is increasing. A nicer way to get iteration id's would to get them from a report, whose sole purpose would be to list iterations and show their id's. The report could preferably be installed in the project collection root, i.e. DefaultCollection -folder, and list all iterations for all projects in that collection. Anyone already have this? tfs parameters iteration default share|improve this question edited Sep 12 '11 at 19:17 Bo Persson 58.6k1276142 asked Sep 12 '11 at 12:56 MathiasR 454524 I am in desperate need of this functionality to allow fellow workers to maintain the sprint reports, and get the weight of this cumbersome effort off my shoulders. @Mathias, shall we try to create such a report ourselves? –kroonwijk Sep 12 '11 at 19:15 @kroonwijk, I wouldn't mind doing it myself but I'm not familiar enough with Reporting Services and the TFS Warehouse to do this and unfortunately I don't have the time right now to start investigating it. I found this (Microsoft.TeamFoundation.WorkItemTracking.Client.ReportingAttributes) but the report I think that the report needs to be installed for a project and not a project collection to work. May
