Yesterday I configured all computers with the following: - QC Addin - QC Connectivity - Activated quick test professional tutorial pdf the flag Allow other HP products - Checked DCOM settings - I have a user with administrator privilegies - Remote agent is active. Anyway, yesterday all my computers where executing remote tests from QC without any problems. Today I have tried quick test professional free download for windows 7 to execute new scripts but I have and endless waiting status on QC. After openning the log I can see the error is "Test not Found". Network connection is working because I can execute QTP scripts saved on QC server. I have restarted all computers (except QC server, I am not the sys admin). Is it a problem with QC? When I am triying to execute remote tests (or even locally), remote agent is not even starting QTP or doing anything. Any

I think it was a problem with the QC, I just deleted the test set and created a new one and it worked again. I found out that other test sets where working except for the one I was using, maybe was an error in the test set. My tests are again running from QC. Thanks, Find Reply basanth27 Moderator Posts: 1,003 Threads: 1 Joined: Jul 2009 Reputation: 3 #4 08-10-2009, 07:02 PM This is a intresting Case. What do you think could have gone wrong when you were creating the test set which has caused the error ? I am curious to know because Execution from QC is through the Scheduler and before it begins the Scheduler Caches all the tests and then ignites the execution. WTF! Is your installation of QTP causing any of the following weird behavior: Blue Screen of Death QTP hangs when you try starting or closing it QTP hangs when using text recognition methods On a 64-bit OS the QTP report contains https://www.joecolantonio.com/2012/12/17/qtp-11-possible-fix-for-qtp-crashing-and-hanging-issues/ the error "driver cannot be loaded and needs to be updated for 64-bits" If so before throwing your computer out the window, or sticking your HP voodoo doll with pins, try this quick fix first. Possible reason for this behavior https://books.google.com/books?id=JoP8oeVqOP0C&pg=PA374&lpg=PA374&dq=error+from+quick+test+professional+test+not+found&source=bl&ots=x08arGjIsl&sig=93HB75ShhJZl_rlEIYXZxMqMCq8&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiJwNWS-MvPAhUL6YMKHcT Sometimes an older system driver pal_drv.sys, that was developed for old text recognition mechanism that is no longer supported, can cause these odd behaviors. Possible fix Open a command prompt (Start > Run > type "cmd" > "Ok") Navigate to quick test "/bin" directory (for example: "cd C:\Program Files\HP\QuickTest Professional") Run the following command:nt_tr.exe -remove Reboot the machine. Give it a try This doesn't always fix these odd issues, but it doesn't hurt to give it a try Success! Now check your email to confirm your subscription to start receiving automation awesomeness. When I run multiple scripts from HP ALM(QC) 11, the 1st script runs fine,2nd script status is "Unable to open the testname> test"..from 3rd script, all has the below status "Unable to open the test in the testing tool". The execution log for script 2 is shown as "Unable to open the " test. Error from QuickTest Professional: Element not found..". The execution log for all scripts frpm script 3 is shown as "Unable to open the test in the testing tool. Error from QuickTest Professional: Cannot retrieve object.." I can run these scripts 1 by 1 from QC successfully. This issue happens only when i try to run more than 1 script from QC. The most confusing part is that till last week, they were getting executed without any such issue and as far as I know nothing is updated in QC or QTP. I reinstalled the remote agent and QC/QTP add-ins. Still the issue persists. Any light you could shed on this will be much appreciated.
