Error # -2093 I know that people have posted this problem before, but nothing helped and I am rather desperate...I recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad X200 with Windows 7 Professional installed (32 bit). After I installed iTunes and QuickTime, former worked fine (except that I can't open iTunes store on it), latter would not even start and would just give me the "Quicktime failed to initialize. Error # -2093"I have done some research online and on this website, the solutions I tried so far are1. Completely uninstall QuickTime, download the newest version and install it again.2. Copy the QTCF.dll file from QuickTime folder to Windows/System32 folder.3. uninstall the 7.5 and install the 7.4 versionNothing worked and I really have no idea how to solve this problem. Help!thanks!Tina Lenovo X200, Windows 7 Posted on Jan 27, 2010 7:36 PM I have this question too Close Q: Quicktime failed to initialize. QuickTime still does not start. There might be a conflict between windows operating system and QuickTime then?Desperate...only hope is that Apple will be able to fix this problem with the next version.Anyone home? Error # -2093"The last time I saw that cluster of symptoms, a Kaspersky firewall was blocking QuickTime from accessing the internet. What security software are you running on that PC?
