Mostly lurk here, but in case any one else runs into this (ymmv, but this is the fix that worked for me). Got message to update QB Pro 2015. Updated no problem on machine 1. Machine 2, https://community.intuit.com/questions/799898-update-error-15240 got error 15240 on 4 of 5 updates. Apparently the security 'owner' setting was set to admin, not users, on machine 2.
