Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other Answer Hi ebensing, Error 15271 occurs when a file cannot be validated. This is commonly received while doing payroll updates, however, you can also receive this one while doing the QuickBooks update. Many times, this error can be resolved by turning off the User Account Control (UAC) in Windows, then update your software again. Make sure to close your QuickBooks before turning it off. After this, reopen your QuickBooks, then do the update. If it’s successful, don't forget to turn on the User Account Control (UAC). If you get the same result, please restart your QuickBooks. If the QuickBooks Update Service message window appears, click Install Later, and then reset your QuickBooks release update: At the top menu, click Help. Choose Update QuickBooks. Click Update Now. Check the box next to Reset Update, then click Get Updates. When the "Update Complete" message appears, close and reopen QuickBooks. If you get the message to install update, click Install Now. When the installation is complete, restart your computer. Let me know if this works when you get a chance to try it and we’ll take it from there. Was this answer helpful?
