to see if those two services have been started. If not, set them to automatic start, reboot the machine, and install\configure NetExtender again. Since this is a third party application, it's recommended to contact the application vender to check the compatibility with Windows 8.1\IE 11, because they're more familiar with the application. http://help.mysonicwall.com/sw/eng/2605/ui2/1000/Admin/SSL-VPN_2000_1.0_Admin-8-1.html NOTE This response contains a reference to a third party World Wide Web site. Services: Could Not Start Remote Access Connection Started by Jkimble , Sep 14 2003 02:31 AM This topic is locked 3 replies to this topic #1 Jkimble Jkimble Junior TEG Forum Member Members 2 posts Posted 14 September 2003 - 02:31 AM Hello. I'm having a few problems with connecting to ras error the internet and creating network connections. After reading several webpages I came to the conclusion that it was because of RasMan, and I was correct. Unfortunately, knowing is only half the battle... A brief description of the problem I'm having. I'm working on a friends laptop computer. He can dial up into AOL and connect, but he can't surf remote access service the internet through Internet Explorer or AOL's web browser. He can't go into chat rooms either. Basically he's just sitting on a DEAD connection to AOL. Upon doing research I learned it was RasMan, but I cannot start the service up. You see, whenever I try to start this service up, it gives me the following error: ************** Services: Could not start Remote Access Connection Manager on Local Computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be found. ************** I have searched the MS Knowledge base, did all of my updates (This happened both before AND after all critical updates), and yet I still cannot find out how to fix this problem. The only thing I found that remotely resembled my situation was on Microsoft's Knowledge base when it told me to delete entries 25 and 26 under RasMan\PPP\EAP in the registry, and to make sure that in the RasMan entry, ObjectName value = Local System. I deleted the entries (the objectname was already set to local system), and yet still RasMan won't start. Could
