Disk Read Error Occurred Windows Xp
VMWare ESXi 4.0 in one of our server successfully. We tried to convert a physical node running in Windows XP with a disk read error occurred xp solution SP2 to a virtual node. We used vmware converter 4.0 to convert and we directly stored the VM node in the ESXi server. After that when we start the virtual node, it is disk read error occurred vista not booting up. An error message is displayed in the console as "A disk read error occurred. Press CtrlAltDel to restart". I again started the converter from step1. now i followed each step carefully as per the document. Added the sysprep files in the respective folder and now it is booting fine. Thank you. SCSI? IDE? If not, make sure the VM has the right driver for the controller installed. Have you tried moving the VM storage back to it's original state?
