I have that trouble on my desktop PC with my iPad and my wife's iPhone, but when I use my laptop I have no trouble.Try fully unistalling itunes and all Apple components within your system. Then reinstall.May seem an odd question, but what motherboard do you have? Without taking my PC apart I couldn't tell you what motherboard I have.If I get really fed up I'll uninstall and reinstall everything but as iTunes and iPad have both been through 2 software updates, I'm not sure how much good that'll do.Thankyou thoughPete Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by barrykj, barrykj Jan 17, 2011 12:01 PM in response to ScurvyPete13 Level 1 (0 points) Jan 17, 2011 12:01 PM in response to ScurvyPete13 I have this problem as well. has anyone got a solution? Also ensure you reboot after all of the uninstalls and reboot you iPad as well. This all fixed my laptop, but as I said, my desktop P

to your iOS device from a PC or Mac is really easy and taking a regular back-up is a great idea. That said, it's not always an error free experience and the ‘iTunes Could Not Connect To This iPhone' error is one of the more common ones to occur when you connect your iOS device to your system. What's more is that once you start getting this error, it appears repeatedly. It prevents your phone from charging and from syncing which means no backups can be taken and no music can be synced to your device. It's not the most pleasant of errors but here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2721620?start=0&tstart=0 are a few ways for you to try and fix it. I've personally encountered this error a lot and it is more a hardware related problem than it is a software one. Fortunately the two main culprits in this case are your charging cable and your USB port, and not your entire computer system or your device. Check Your Charging Cable Make sure your charging cable is working properly and remember that just http://www.addictivetips.com/ios/fixing-the-itunes-could-not-connect-to-this-iphone-error/ because it's charging from a wall socket doesn't necessarily mean it will work right with your Mac or PC. Check the connector to see if anything is broken, check the length of the wire to see if anything might be exposed and make sure you're using either an authentic charging cable, or one that is Apple approved. When it comes to the charging cable, a poor quality one can lead to this error. Change USB Ports I've never experienced problems with a loose USB port on an iMac or a Mac Mini but it might be possible on any sort of Macbook and likewise, it has been a problem for me on a PC. The quick solution is to use a different USB port on your system. You might not notice if a USB port is loose if you only plug USBs into it but other devices like the iPhone will not be able to transfer data when connected to a loose port. Remove The Cover Sometimes a poorly designed cover or iPhone case can prevent the cable from being pushed in all the way. Make sure it's pushed in all the way, or remove the cover and then connect the phone. This might work but again this problem is going to be a combination of

may rarely run into an error when iTunes reports it's unable to backup the iOS device. This is http://osxdaily.com/2014/07/16/fix-a-itunes-could-not-backup-iphone-error-message/ usually accompanied by a very vague error message like "iTunes could not back up the iPhone "(name)" because the backup could not be saved on the computer", or a "session failed" message, with a suggestion to disconnect and reconnect the device before trying again. Typically following the alert dialog instructions doesn't resolve much, so if you do happen to run into an reading from iTunes backup failure, try the following solution to successfully backup the device again. This applies to iTunes backups with Mac OS X and/or Windows, made from any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. We'll break this into an easy to follow set of troubleshooting steps: Update iTunes - the first thing you should do is get the latest version of iTunes, this alone may ipad error reading resolve the problem if the iOS version is newer than what is supported by the version of iTunes. You can update through iTunes itself, or by downloading the latest version from Apple's iTunes page Rename the backup file* so it does not conflict with a new backup by appending something like "-OLDBACKUP" to the folder name - the iTunes & iOS backup files are located in the user folders depending on the desktop OS: Mac OS X - ~/Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup/ Windows 8, 7, Vista - \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ Start a manual backup with iTunes by selecting the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from the devices menu and choosing to "Start Backup" At this point the backup should complete to iTunes as expected. If it doesn't, move along to the next few set of troubleshooting steps. * Typically renaming the backup file is sufficient, but in some situations you may need to make a copy of the existing backup file and move it to another location on the computer, then delete the old (possibly corrupt) backup from iTunes through Preferences > Devices > Delete Backup.
