It looks like you might possibly have two separate java instances installed. you have the openjdk java shipped by centos, but there are also some packages java-sun\* packages as well from a mamba repository. Depending on your setup, it's possible that you're not using the proper java jvm to run your setup. I can't seem to get a straight http://forums.fedoraforum.org/archive/index.php/t-176370.html answer anywhere else. The problem is that I changed the JVM on my Fedora 5 from gcj to sun 1.4.2_16. I'm using Tomcat 5.5.
