Is anyone have a solution? Thanks gary m 0 l Guavas 24 September 2013 12:55:21 Dear both afaUK and gary1stlai, the problem you are probably facing is a problem with the motherboard. I know this because I only fixed this problem this morning with my Toshiba A300-12K. I had exactly the same errors as afaUK; same PCI issues and the inability to load an Operating System from the HDD, USB or CD. I took it to a repair shop several weeks ago where I bought my computer in 2008. What they told me was that I had a cracked motherboard, which would cost 400 € to repair (it's cheaper buying a new PC). Instead of spending money, I decided to fix it myself. What I did: Pressed F2 to access the BIOS and reset it to default settings. Took out battery, keyboard, RAM, Optical Disc Drive (check the dismantling guide in the forum). Cleaned the computer with a vacuum cleaner with a panty covering the end (BE CAREFUL, ONLY DO THIS IF THERE'S A LOT OF DUST/HAIR) Turned the computer on without RAM. It did nothing. Turned the computer off, put both sticks of RAM back. Turned the computer back on, pressing F2 to access the BIOS. Turned everything (legacy usb, WLAN, touchpad {you wont need this atm}, etc. OFF) (PhoenixBIOS does not have many options, but

I get an error saying: "Resource Conflict - PCI Serial Bus Controller on Motherboard". There are no devices attached to the laptop. And when I try to go into the Setup to try to boot from a CD it still does not work. Basically I am not reaching the Windows part of the setup. If it is you can try to enter the BIOS and reset everything to it's basic setting and try again. The error message that you are getting is telling you that some devices directly connected to the M'Board are in conflict and are attempting to share the same resources. This generally happens when the BIOS has been incorrectly setup or the M'Board is failing.NB's by their very nature lead a hard life and quite often it can be a short life depending on how they are treated. I've seen people allow them to go into Hibernation and pack them away in their carry bags and then wonder why the CPU gets cooked as they think that the unit is turned off when its actually still running. They also tend to get placed in positions where they are subject to bending the chassis and this causes problems with the M'Boards as well and eventually they will fail totally. But if someone has altered the BIOS recently that will most likely be the problem as everything is built into a NB and
