Press any key to continue. Press any key to continue" - is pretty significant. Typically it is due to a failing hard drive. Might want to at least see if you can take the drive out, put it in another computer, and back up any critical data you might not want to lose. I again tried coming up in safe mode and using yesterday's restore point but this time it didn't work. I have not installed any new hardware or software recently. Status: Not open for further replies. hai Guest Hi: When I boot my cp (HP Pavilio), I have the following error: Error: resource conflict - PCI in slot 01 bus:01, device:08, function:00 F1 to setup F2 to resume if I press f2, I have other error (invalid system disk) First I thought the hard disk has a problem. so I change the boot sequence to CD rom. Then press f2 with the bootable cd in it, but I still have the same error. Go into Device Manager like I suggested after booting windows and go through it as described in this article.
