Is anyone have a solution? Thanks gary m 0 l Guavas 24 September 2013 12:55:21 Dear both afaUK and gary1stlai, the problem you are probably facing is a problem with the motherboard. I know this because I only fixed this problem this morning with my Toshiba A300-12K. I had exactly the same errors as afaUK; same PCI issues and the inability to load an Operating System from the HDD, USB or CD. I took it to a repair shop several weeks ago where I bought my computer in 2008. What they told me was that I had a cracked motherboard, which would cost 400 € to repair (it's cheaper buying a new PC). Instead of spending money, I decided to fix it myself. What I did: Pressed F2 to access the BIOS and reset it to default settings. Took out battery, keyboard, RAM, Optical Disc Drive (check the dismantling guide in the forum). Cleaned the computer with a vacuum cleaner with a panty covering the end (BE CAREFUL, ONLY DO THIS

via my laptop's onboard wireless adapter (Broadcom 4318). Disabling the Wireless adapter (in Windows device manager) and http://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/resource-conflict-pci-serial-bus-controller-on-motherboard/ switching to a wired connection seemed to solve the problem (no more hard-locks) .. long as I stayed in Windows. But reboots still gave me fits. Many times, the hard drive & CD-ROM lights would remain lit for ~30 secs, then go out. That's it. Nothing. No boot. Couldn't even boot to a Bootable CD. Couldn't resource conflict even get into the BIOS (F2). The display screen showed absolutely nothing. Sukage maximus. Subsequent troubleshooting revealed that using a fan to blow cold air on the bottom of the (warm) laptop for 5 or 10 minutes solved the problem. (Every time.) If it is you can try to enter the BIOS and reset everything to it's basic setting and try again. The error message that you are getting is telling you that some devices directly connected to the M'Board are in conflict and are attempting to share the same resources. This generally happens when the BIOS has been incorrectly setup or the M'Board is failing.NB's by their very nature lead a hard life and quite often it can be a short
