sada (11,920 points) edited Mar 21, 2015 by osky The "DF-DFERH-01" error when you walk into Google Play error while retrieving information from server [DF-DFERH-01] play store error while retrieving information from server df-dferh-01 google-play-store google-play google error commented Mar 31, 2015 by anonymous http://wikitechsolutions.com/6496/how-to-solve-the-df-dferh-01-error-when-you-are-into-google-play thank you it worked commented Apr 5, 2015 by TG Same issue, tried the solutions listed in the thread. 1.Force stop > clear data > uninstall updates on google play store. 2. Step 1 + clearing data for google services and https://www.tolaris.com/2011/12/18/android-market-error-while-retrieving-information-from-server/ google framework. 3. Factory reset Same problem, comes back in a day or an hour. HTC One M7 Lolipop 5.0.1/2 commented Apr 5, 2015 by anonymous YAY! It worked. I just bought a Desire today and I was seriously getting frustrated. retrieving information Thank you (; commented Apr 6, 2015 by anonymous Tnx a miilion. I was about killing myself;) commented Apr 9, 2015 by Stillboosted Same issue on the M7 after the most recent small update on 4/1/15 ...The last update is wreaking havoc on multiple m7 device owners running Lollipop 5.0.2...The above "fix" does not work , it will come back. Google fix the problem you created with this most recent update to lollipop...it was running perfectly before this last update. For anyone else retrieving information from suffering from this...you can still update and install apps by going to a computer , signing into your Google Account, clicking on menu and selecting the Play Store...There you can go to "My Apps" and update and install apps to your device. It sucks, but it works. commented Apr 9, 2015 by Lizzie I am having the same issue as Stillboosted, on the same device. It is really annoying. I've had this problem for almost a month or longer. Clearing Data and Uninstalling Updates is only a temporary solution... problem returns within minutes. I also did a factory reset... and problem was still present. commented Apr 9, 2015 by TG To elaborate more on this issue for the M7, if you uninstall the updates to the google play store you can instantly use it again without issue until it automatically updates in the background which usually happens within 1-5 minutes. If you have root access there are some shenanigans you can do to prevent it from auto updating. Not sure if this is HTCs fault or Googles. commented Apr 10, 2015 by anonymous Updating from the computer definitely works! it sure is better than nothing. Thank you soo much! commented Apr 10, 2015 by Dav Great mate. Fixed my AT100 Toshiba. commented Apr 11, 2015 by Hemant None of above solutions works for me. Though google help center claims to solve the issue, but still it persist in my mobile. Model Alcatel 8000D. commented Apr 11,
retrieving information from server." 2011-12-18 00:00 UTC | 21 comments Update 2013-02-08: It seems that this error is triggered by many different conditions. If you have my problem, the following steps may help you. If not, please don't post "this didn't help, any ideas?" I cannot help you further. If you have new information to add, please do post a comment! Recently Google offered a sale on 10 Android apps each day for 10p (or 10¢). During the sale I bought a number of apps, because 10p is practically indistinguishable from "free". Unfortunately, my bank believed this large number of sub-one-pound purchases to be fraudulent. Normally they'd be right; that's exactly the kind of thing criminal organisations do when testing credit cards. But in my case, it was just a case of "SALE! SALE! SALE!" madness. I cleared it with the bank, but after that I could no longer buy applications through the Android Market application. When I attempted to do so, the Market required me to check "I agree to the Payments for Android Market Terms and Conditions", then failed with the message "Error while retrieving information from server." If you don't care to read the grimy details, perhaps you should skip to the solution. I reported the issue to Android Market technical support, who replied to me the following day requesting steps to reproduce. I gave them a full bug report: Open Market. Navigate to any app. Press the amount button, such as "£0.10", button on the upper right. The confirmation page loads, listing my credit card, gmail account, and total. "Accept & Buy" is grey, and the statement "I agree to the Payments for Android Market Terms and Conditions" is displayed, unchecked. Check next to "I agree …". "Accept & Buy" becomes blue. Press "Accept & Buy". The error message "Error while retrieving information from server" appears. What immediately stood out is that I had never previously seen "I agree to the Payments for Android Market Terms and Conditions" appear during a purchase. The Market normally prompts you to accept this the first time you run it after factory reset. My wife's phone did not have this message. Also of interest, I could purchase Android apps through the Android Market w
