searching the solution that worked for me was to: Re install Kies from Samsung:http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP Run an update from within it: Mac: Preferences, Update tab. Exit Kies, disconnect and reboot the phone. Disable USB Debugging in (Home Screen) Menu, Settings, Applications, Development, USB debugging.(In 4.0.3 Development is in settings, under the sub heading System, near the kies samsung usb drivers bottom.) Start Kies on the computer and wait for it to load. Kill all applications on the phone using Advanced Task Killeror similar. Clear memory in the native Task Manager: hold down the Home key, go to Task Manager, then the RAM tab, then click Clear Memory. Reconnect the phone via a different USB port Wait: my tablet takesliterally10 minutes of "Connecting..." before actually connecting. I hope this helps someone. ( Settings->Developer Options->USB debugging in case of ICS or Settings->Applications->Development->USB Debugging incase of earlier versions). Try switching it off and then connecting the USB cable. share|improve this answer answered Apr 16 '13 at 3:28 Karthik 176117 Thanks, It really helped, I was trying to set USB Debugging checked, why the message doesn't tell anything about UNCHECKING Usb Debugging? –RezaRahmati Jun 6 '14 at 13:44 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote download this usb driver from samsung site, its working http://www.samsung.com/ph/support/model/GT-I8262MBAXTC-downloads# share|improve this answer answered Dec 27 '13 at 17:41 Shanmuk srinivas 91 add a comment| up vote -2 down vote Your PC needs a driver for Kies to recognize your phone. Download & install Samsung-Usb-Driver-v1.5.45.0 or newer version. After installing, open Kies, and your phone should be recognized. share|improve this answer edited Feb 4 '15 at 21:15 Excellll 9,64273350 answered Feb 4 '15 at 19:22 AX HX - IRAN 1 This answer is very hard to understand. Joined: Jan 23, 2012 Messages: 839 Likes Received: 457 Hello Guys have got a bit of a problem that I have been reading through forums etc for fixes, have found some that looked promising but no luck so hoping a new thread will point me in the right direction. Basically for the last month or so when I try to connect my SGS2 to the computer to use Kies I get the message "Unsupported connection mode alert Reconnect the device in Samsung Kies (PC Studio) Mode. Current connection mode not supported by Kies." I wouldn't really care as Kies is rubbish in my opinion, and it is a lot easier and better to use the phone as a mass storage device, but I have been waiting patiently for the official ICS update and now it is finally landing I am unable to update without Kies. I have checked the usb debugging is not enabled, I have tried all solutions I can find (turn usb debugging on connect and let load drivers, unplug and turn usb debugging back off and try again),(uninstall and reinstall Kies), etc etc. There are a lot of things I have tried but nothing is working. Also I assume it is something to do with it, but I know I used to have 2 or 3 options when I go to Settings\Wireless & Networks\USB Utilities. But now there is only one, "USB Mass Storage". Any help would be great please as I can't wait to try the Icecreamy goodness Thanks in advance. Is nobody else having this same problem? Am I right in thinking that in Settings\Wireless & Networks\USB Utilities there should be two or three options? Does this look like a handset problem that means sending it to see its maker...and see if they will fix it under warranty? This got rid of the Kies issue allowing me to then update to official ics update via Kies. SavageRobot likes this.
