but every time it just fails when trying to install Bootmii. I have had my wii since 2007 so it's not a new one.I can't find anyone else with the same problem. I know it's early stages https://gbatemp.net/threads/bootmii-cant-prepare-sd-card.162379/ but I cant proceed until I can get bootmii installed. It's driving me mental. Can anyone please help?ThanksReply QuoteArikado Re: Unable install bootmii as IOS OR as boot2 November 17, 2009 09:32PM AdminRegistered: 8 years agoPosts: 5,132If you can't install bootmii as boot2, then there's nothing you can do about that.I would bet that you have successfully installed bootmii IOS, but you simply dont know how to use it. BootMii IOS can only be launched through the http://forum.wiibrew.org/read.php?25,41523 homebrew channel, it is not launched when you turn on your Wii (like boot2).Reply Quoteesspeez Re: Unable install bootmii as IOS OR as boot2 November 17, 2009 09:40PM Registered: 6 years agoPosts: 5Yes apparently I can launch it through the HBC by pressing home and selecting "launch boot". But the option is not there.Only 'Back' 'About' 'Exit to system menu' and 'Shutdown'(sorry, I may have double posted this topic as it said it thought it was spam so I re-wrote it, apologies)Reply QuoteSephiroth Re: Unable install bootmii as IOS OR as boot2 November 17, 2009 09:51PM Registered: 7 years agoPosts: 59@ Arikado:he already said that his wii is from 2007, so he should be able to install bootmii, both as IOS and boot2.@ esspeez:what exactly happens if you try to install bootmii? normally it should read out a green message saying "SUCCESS" when installing bootmii...so what message do you get? does it say "SUCCESS" but you're not able to access the bootmii menu or does it somehow fail to install at all?Reply QuoteSifJar Re: Unable install bootmii as IOS OR as boot2 November 17, 2009 10:30PM Registered: 7 years agoPosts: 5,075What error are you getting if any? Whether you want to use your Wii to play DVDs or media files from your network, emulate classic games or try out games made by other Wii users, homebrew is the perfect excuse to dust off your neglected Wii and give it a new purpose. A long-lasting hack means you get all of this working quickly and easily, using nothing more than an SD card. In ancient times, running homebrew software required owning a specific game and corrupting its save data to run an exploit. It was complicated. The most recent hack, which has been working for a year now, essentially gives you access to Homebrew in a couple of clicks. It’s called LetterBomb.
