The list of PayPal error codes doesn't say much on how to fix this. What you need to do is: Make sure you've selected the correct Gateway Environment (Sandbox/Testing or Live). Make sure you are using the correct Account Email, API Username, API Password, and API signature for the environment you selected. (Your live and test API information will be different.) If in the test environment, make sure that you are logged into developer.paypal.com. This shouldn't be required anymore but is worth a shot. Make sure you have a Site Title set in your WP dashboard General Settings. Try removing any special characters from your membership level names. That should do it! I used the credentials from my Selling-paypal Sandbox account (tried them hundreds of times). What's the problem in this case? Would be great if somebody could help me. Thanks, Tobi matteofuzz commented Mar 3, 2012 I confirm this error on 1-0-stable. Instead on 1.0.0.rc4 it's run well. I solved it upgrading to master (1.1.0.beta) (and using my fork of spree_paypal_express for the coupon issue). On the stable it can't save and get the test_mode = true value. With this gem it works: GIT remote: git://github.com/spree/spree.git revision: ee874128f14642847bbb4f9ae30bd9341eb4a814 specs: spree (1.1.0.beta) ... The PayPal account in this store is presently misconfigured to use mixed sandbox and live settings. We are unable to complete your transaction. Please notify the store owner so they can correct this problem. (10002) 10002 Security error - Security header is not valid I had initially built my store using the full-fileset 12302006 version, then patched it with the latest ec patches. When I got this error, I thought it might be because I'd left out or misplaced a file in the patching process, so I downloaded the 1.3.7.1-full-patched-07052007 set and rebuilt my store from scratch. To no avail. I am still getting the error. I logged in to developer.paypal.com, got my api credentials from the sandbox, copied and pasted, and ensured that there were no leading or trailing spaces in my id, password, or signature. Anything else? I appreciate any help you
