Would an embedded space in the fax number cause an "other error"? Absolutely! But in an indirect way. Here's how: Say you wish to fax to +1-212-555-1212 and you format the email address like this To: +1212 5551212@fax.tc (note the space after 212). Your email program will assume that you are emailing to two separate email addresses, one of which is +1212 (nonsensical email address), the other of which is 5551212@fax.tc. The InterFAX system makes its best effort to deduce what you intended by this address, in terms of the country code and area code. Most likely, all faxing attempts will fail.
