The connection settings are also mentioned in the wiki.If you are doing this for the first time, better double check that you have the right serial cable. It has to operate at 3.3V. Make sure to read http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/port.serial before starting. 3 Reply by dh1948 2013-05-12 19:13:14 dh1948 Member Offline Registered: 2013-05-12 Posts: 8 Re: WRT54GS add serial port Many thanks for this,I am focusing on the virtual serial port at the moment.I am using HW Virtual Serial Port 2.5.10I can ping successfuly from command window.I have set exception in windows firewall for HWVSP 2.5.10Also turned of firewall, but still no joyip 192.168.10.1port 23000port name com5server port 23000(II) 12/05/2013 19:00:35 : Program execute(II) 12/05/2013 19:02:01 : Sending test ping to 192.168.10.1 device(EE) 12/05/2013 19:02:01 : Can't create serial port COM5(EE) 12/05/2013 19:02:02 : Winsock error 1

CDMA general worked and talks to the phone normally so what am I missing? Some
